Adamawa state Honorable Speaker Beats Up Police Sergeant.

According to report by Kabiru Anwar of the Daily trust, Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, beat up a police sergeant attached to him.



The Police officer was slapped severally for demanding his allowance before help could reach him. The police authority has confirmed the incident.

According to an eye witness who spoke with the reporter in Yola, the Adamawa state capital, the Hon. Speaker got so angry yesterday, took the policeman by his shirt and dealt him several slaps before he could be rescued by other officers, civil defense attached to the the Honourable. The incidence which caused a stir amidst shout of: he is a police officer, was later reported at a Police Station.

When contacted, the Police PRO, DSP Othman Abubakar confirmed the incident. He said the commander in charge of Yola Area Command has waded into the matter.

Main while, all attempts to speak with the Honourable proved abortive as he refused to pick calls nor answer messages sent to his mobile phone number,
